debuts in Good Schools Guide
Now in its 25th year The Good Schools Guide helps parents in every aspect of choosing the best education for their children. It provides the most comprehensive collection of education data available on state and independent schools, tutors, special needs and university choice. It offers tailor-made individual advice and support to parents as they make this most important decision.
It is independent, forthright, well-informed and unbiased which give it unique authority and has earned the trust of parents and educational organisations worldwide. The guide leads opinion on all aspects of education.
This year Robert Clack School has been included in the Good Schools Guide for the first time with reviewers commenting that: “This is one of the smartest and most ordered schools we have ever visited”. The guide also comments that: “The school works on a combination of iron discipline and plenty of praise”.
Headteacher Sir Paul Grant said: "I shouldn't think there are many comprehensives like this in the guide. It is very, very tough to get in. Their editors approached us - we didn't market ourselves. It will be heartening for people in our community for us to get this national recognition". (TES - Friday 28th January)

This is an outstanding school. Students enter the school with standards that are broadly average; they make outstanding progress to achieve substantially higher than average results in national examinations in Year 9 and at GCSE. The school strives and is ambitious for students' success. Results in Year 9 and GCSE have continued to improve year by year.
