Prestigious London Award for Robert Clack Media & Film Studies Students

As part of London’s preparation for the 2012 Olympics a brand new, world-class Media Centre is in the process of being built. This centre forms the focus for student media creativity across the whole East London area. It is intended that the Olympic Games will leave a lasting legacy not just in sport but in Media and the Arts too. In order to promote the new Media Centre all schools and colleges in the East London area were invited to submit short films. These films were judged by both media professionals and higher education specialists. The winners received a prestigious gala reception and exhibition of their work at the world famous Royal Festival Hall in Central London on Tuesday 29th June 2010.

We are delighted to announce that six films submitted by Robert Clack Media and Film Studies students made it through to the final shortlist. The finalists included: Stacey Reading, Aicha Ouattara, Katie Anderson, Chris Stephens, Karishma Bhandari, Kayleigh Middleton, Jordan Ward, Grace Cridland, Tara Hussein, Carla Fletcher, Shelley Corney and Samantha Waite.

It is with great pride that we can reveal that Shelley Corney, Samantha Waite and Carla Fletcher were winners in their submitted film category. The winning films are now available to see on the Robert Clack Media Youtube site.

Congratulations to everybody concerned. This really is a remarkable achievement.
