Having our school cricketers looking smart in white cricket clothing is always a challenge, particularly in Year 7 and 8 when children are still sampling the game. Given that our young cricketers are every bit as talented as their counterparts in some other schools, we want them to look the part too. So, when student Ismail Rumjaun's mother Sakinah approached us to say she could remedy this problem we were very interested. Her connection with Mont Rose college, Gants Hill and its CEO Bilal Sheikh resulted in them pledging a cricket shirt to ALL of our male and female cricketers at Robert Clack school. So often promises are not realised but Mont Rose were true to their word. We are indebted to them, the students looked fantastic in their shirts and they will grace our teams for a few years to come. Sincere heartfelt thanks to Mont Rose College CEO Bilal Sheikh, the College's principal Umber Mokal who attended the presentation, Robert Clack's Executive head Russell Taylor and Sakinah Rumjaun for making it all possible.
