Our GCSE music students recently enjoyed a spectacular trip to the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre. They watched an amazing performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was centered around various musical periods, that pupils need to identify in their written exam. There were performances of works by Vivaldi, John Adams, Beethoven and John Williams.
The London Philharmonic Orchestra delivered a brilliantly interactive performance. There were schools present from all around the country, getting involved with playing along to the music and participating in exciting quizzes!
Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially with the brilliant weather they had!
Many thanks to Tom Allison and Ryan Mugera for supporting the music department on the trip.
