This exhibition was a celebration of our student’s hard work and dedication. The work shown was an accumulation of the artwork made during art club on Green Lane and Lymington throughout the year.
The theme of the exhibition is ‘The Faces of Clack’ as students have been focusing on the people that make our community a positive, comfortable and successful place. We have been very fortunate to have members of staff volunteer their time after school to pose for the student’s life drawings, allowing them to experience new ways of working.
Throughout the year, students have been encouraged to look at famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol for inspiration and think of creative ways to implement this within their own portraits. They have been given the opportunity to use a variety media that they may not have experienced within lessons.
The art department are incredibly proud of our students, and we would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication this year
