Year 12 art and photography students had an incredible experience during their recent visit to the National Gallery in Trafalgar square. The highlight of their trip was the captivating exhibition titled “After impressionism: Inventing Modern Art”.
They were fortunate to see the masterpieces created by renowned artists such as Cezanne, Van Gogh, Rodin, Picasso, Matisse, Limt, Kathe Kollwitz, Sonial Delaunay, Kandinsky and Mondrian.
The students were awe-inspired by the innovative and ground-breaking works on display throughout the National Gallery. They took this time to sit, study and draw the art work that inspired them the most. After they took the time to walk through some parts of the city of London, appreciating its iconic landmarks and rich cultural heritage. Throughout the entire trip, the students exhibited exemplary behaviour, demonstrating their enthusiasm, kindness, and respect. It was a truly fantastic experience from start to finish.
