On Tuesday 11th July the history department took some of our fantastic year 7 future historians on a trip to Greenwich as a reward for working so hard all year. After travelling on almost every form of public transport possible our students arrived at the Maritime Museum where they were given an activity sheet to complete as they perused the museum's collection, with some expert commentary from the lucky teachers who accompanied them. Pupils really enjoyed the interactive aspects of the museum's collection and were able to get a head start for next year by considering the museum's collection on the Transatlantic Slave Trade which they will study in Year 8. After an Al-Fresco lunch in Greenwich Park with the sun beaming down we made the long trip back to school. Overall it was a successful trip in which our pupils behaved impeccably, they were a credit to Robert Clack!
