Congratulations to all the Year 9 students who participated in an inspiring Careers in the NHS/Medical Sciences day on Thursday 17th March at Jo Richardson School. All were extremely pro-active in engaging with up to 25 varied medical science related careers workshops within the NHS/Medical Science related specialist professions and were a true credit to the school. The day involved 25 specialist NHS staff to conduct really engaging practical insights into their career roles from Vets, Surgeons, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Orthodontists, Podiatrists, Paramedics, Osteopaths and Epidemiologists to name but a few.
Early first hand exposure to such much needed careers in our society only adds to the quality of destinations, academic grades and learning focus outcomes of our students when they are presented first hand with professional employers. The day proved to be a truly high quality inspiring day for all year 9 students.
