Green Lane

Mrs A Preston (Head of Year)

It is an honour and privilege to be leading such a talented and aspiring cohort of students through their second year at Robert Clack School. As already demonstrated, they are a true reflection of the ethos, values and BRAVE qualities we uphold as a School. The cohort has built strong foundations to continue to build upon this academic year, each member of the year group has shown commitment to academic achievement, enrichment activities, creativity, building positive relationships and developing moral awareness.

I would like each member of year 9 to continue to take advantage of the opportunities we provide, overcome challenges that will come their way, build resilience and cultivate relationships with peers and staff.  Our year 9 community will be fantastic role models for our younger pupils on this site and I look forward to seeing them showing support and modelling our values and ethos to them each day.

Year 9 is an exciting and crucial year in pupils' education as we build a platform for the successful transition towards GCSE study and progress to the Upper School. I am excited to see you grow as individuals and as a year group developing your strengths and passions to give yourself the best opportunities for success in all aspects of your school life.

I look forward to working with all pupils and parents/carers over the course of this year in what I am sure will be an incredibly successful one.

Lymington Fields

Mr J Morrison (Head of Year)

It is an honour and a privilege to be leading such a fantastic group of students through their third year at Robert Clack School. This year group have already demonstrated the high standards which reflect our school ethos and values and I know they will set a brilliant example to the Year 7 and 8 students arriving on the Lymington Fields site.

As Head of Year, I have a strong belief that every student within this year group has the ability to succeed and reach their full potential. It is however, imperative that students are behaving appropriately at all times in order to achieve this. All students are aware of our expectations which require them to be BRAVE every day – after all our school motto ‘Forti difficile nihil’ translates as ‘ For the brave nothing is difficult’

Students are expected to:

Behave – in line with the school’s ethos and values
Responsible – to have the correct equipment , complete their homework and take responsibility for their actions
Attitude - to adopt a positive mind-set to their learning and develop resilience
Virtuous – to be truthful, have good morals and work as part of a community
Effort – to try their very best in everything they do

As a community we understand the importance of recognising all achievements whether that be subject specific, merits earned, appraisals, attendance or extra – curricular commitments and we enjoy celebrating these in our assemblies. Every pupil in year 9 has the potential to succeed and will always be encouraged to be the very best that they can be.

I am looking forward to supporting this year group as they build upon their current success, setting a strong foundation for the path ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and guardians for their on-going support and together we can ensure that pupils reach their full potential.

Gosfield Road

Mr J Lammin (Head of Year)

It is an honour to lead such a talented and inspiring group of students as they progress through the final chapter of Key Stage 3. The values and behaviours that this cohort exhibit every day at Robert Clack School, show their belief in our schools' ethos. Throughout year 7 and 8 the students in this year group have developed resilience, confidence and a sense of community that inspires me to come to work every day - I am proud to say that I am steering them on the next stage of their educational journey.

Our school motto is 'for the brave, nothing is difficult' and I am committed to ensuring every student develops the courage to pursue their passions and interests through education at Robert Clack School. I encourage every member of year 9 to embrace the opportunities that they have to excel this year and beyond; and I will nurture their aspirations as they transition into their GCSE's next year.

I have every confidence that year 9 will continue to exemplify the fantastic behaviour, attitude to learning and confidence that has already made them role models for the other students in our school community. I am excited to work with the students, parents, carers and staff across what I know will be another outstanding year.
