
This year British Science week took place from 11th - 20th March . Whilst various activities were happening during the week of, the students were tasked with a longer running activity ending in April. As part of science week the science department held a poster competition where students had to design a 2D poster on A3 or A4 paper on the theme " Growth ".
Pupils in Year 7, 8 and 9 across Green Lane and Lymington submitted their amazing posters for judging . Students explored various themes around growth such as lifecycles of different animals and plants , growth mindset , the development of stars, the growth of the human population among many other interesting interpretations. Posters were judged on
- Creativity in approach – Innovative angle on the content or creative interpretation of the theme
- Content – Clear, accurate and informative about a STEM topic
- Effective communication – presented and communicated in an engaging way
The top 5 entries overall were submitted to the British science week organisation for further judging . Please wish our student's luck in this endeavour .
