"Year 7 students took their first trip to the National Gallery this week as part of the Vision & Voices project. They spent the day exploring The National Gallery and developing a deeper understanding of the meaning and history behind some paintings. Through this they developed their ability to analyse and discuss each painting focusing on their oracy skills. Students displayed exemplary behaviour throughout the trip. Being polite, mannerly, and enthusiastic not only reflects positively on the students but also showcases their genuine interest and passion for art. "
Review from Zain-Ul-Arfeen Shakil
"I learnt a lot about art today in the National Gallery. I learnt that art can be small but it can show a lot of pictures in your Head about what happened in the artists time or era. My favourite painting was "The Family of Darius before Alexander 1565-7" because it was a really large painting with a lot of information stored in it in some way. I think that the National Gallery was a wonderful place."
