This half term, Penguin Class have been learning about Minibeasts. On Wednesday 24th May they went to Thorndon Park on their first ever class trip to put all of their learning into action. They impressed the Park Ranger with their knowledge of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and got very excited shaking the trees and catching all the insects. We also looked under logs to find different minibeasts. We had great fun playing a relay game that involved wrapping ourselves up in tarpaulin to pretend we were in a chrysalis. Finally, we made symmetrical pictures by placing natural objects on one half of a piece of material, folding it over and tapping it with a stone!
Well done Penguin Class for being such a credit to the school on our day out! All of the adults were very proud of you!
